AN ACT TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 56-5-60 SO AS TO REQUIRE NOTICES REQUIRED BY LAW TO BE MAILED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION, EXCEPT BY REGISTERED OR CERTIFIED MAIL, TO HAVE PRINTED ON THE ENVELOPE "PLEASE FORWARD."

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Mailing notices

SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 56-5-60. The envelope in which a notice required by law to be mailed by the Department of Highways and Public Transportation is mailed, other than by registered or certified mail, must have printed on it in bold letters 'Please Forward'."

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
