AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT THE WILLIAMS PARK SUBDIVISION NEAR THE TOWN OF MULLINS CONSTITUTES A PART OF SCHOOL DISTRICT NUMBER TWO OF MARION COUNTY; AND TO RELIEVE THE RESIDENTS OF THE SUBDIVISION OF THE TAX OBLIGATIONS IMPOSED ON RESIDENTS OF SCHOOL DISTRICT NUMBER ONE OF MARION COUNTY AND PROVIDE THAT THEY SHALL ASSUME THE TAX OBLIGATIONS IMPOSED ON RESIDENTS OF SCHOOL DISTRICT NUMBER TWO OF MARION COUNTY.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Subdivision part of school district

SECTION 1. The Williams Park subdivision, located west of the town of Mullins and adjacent to Highway 76 in Marion County, constitutes a part of School District Number Two of Marion County (Mullins District No. 2).

Tax obligations of residents

SECTION 2. The residents of Williams Park subdivision in Marion County are relieved of all tax obligations imposed by law on the residents of School District Number One of Marion County (Marion District No. 1) and shall assume, along with the other residents of School District Number Two (Mullins District No. 2), the tax obligations imposed by law on the residents of School District Number Two of Marion County (Mullins District No. 2).

Time effective

SECTION 3. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
