AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 3 OF FLORENCE COUNTY INCLUDES THAT PORTION OF WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY KNOWN AS THE PERGAMOS AREA.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Area of School District No. 3

SECTION 1. School District No. 3 of Florence County includes that portion of Williamsburg County, commonly known as the Pergamos area, previously included as part of the former Lake City School District No. 47 of Florence and Williamsburg Counties by Joint Resolution, dated February 20, 1928, of the former Florence and Williamsburg County Boards of Education and by subsequent legislation. For school taxation and bonded indebtedness purposes, the Pergamos area is considered part of Williamsburg County.

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
