AN ACT TO AMEND ACT 1779 OF 1972, RELATING TO THE CREATION OF THE CHESTER FIRE DISTRICT IN CHESTER COUNTY, SO AS TO INCREASE THE SIZE OF THE DISTRICT.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Size of district increased

SECTION 1. Section 1 of Act 1779 of 1972 is amended to read:

"Section 1. There is created the Chester Fire District in Chester County which includes all that area lying within a radius of three miles measured form the center of the City of Chester, a description of which must be filed in the office of the clerk of court for Chester County. In addition to the description of the district provided in this section, an additional area is added to the district and is described as follows:

All that certain parcel or tract of land with any and all improvements on it, containing one hundred sixty-two acres, more or less, lying and being situate in the County of Chester and being situate north of the present fire district line; being bounded now or formerly on the east by property of Phillip's Industries and York Road, on the north by property of John W. Lowery, Emma Massey, and Charles W. Massey; on the west by property of Jesse C. Debrahl, KMI Continential Clinton, Mose Chisholm Estate, Agnes W. Smith, and Robert L. McCleave; being part of the Chester County Industrial Park (formerly known as the Chester County Farm)."

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
