AN ACT TO AMEND SECTIONS 7-15-320 AND 7-15-340, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO PERSONS QUALIFIED TO VOTE BY ABSENTEE BALLOT, SO AS TO ADD PERSONS WHO WILL BE SERVING AS JURORS IN A STATE OR FEDERAL COURT ON ELECTION DAY.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Absentee ballots authorized for jury service

SECTION 1. Sections 7-15-320 and 7-15-340 of the 1976 Code are amended by adding an appropriately numbered item to read:

"( ) Persons who will be serving as jurors in a state or federal court on election day."

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
