AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 7-7-450, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE DESIGNATION OF VOTING PRECINCTS IN PICKENS COUNTY, SO AS TO PROVIDE FOR THREE ADDITIONAL PRECINCTS AND TO PROVIDE FOR THE POLLING PLACES FOR ALL THE PRECINCTS IN THE COUNTY.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Precincts added; polling places

SECTION 1. Section 7-7-450 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:

"Section 7-7-450. In Pickens County there are the following voting precincts:

Mountain View

The precinct lines defining the above precincts are as shown on official maps on file with the Division of Research and Statistical Services of the Budget and Control Board and as shown on certified copies provided to the State Election Commission and the County Board of Voter Registration by the Division.

The polling places for the precincts provided in this section must be established by the Pickens County Registration and Elections Commission subject to the approval of the majority of the Pickens County Legislative Delegation."

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
