AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 56-1-30, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO PERSONS EXEMPT FROM DRIVERS' LICENSING REQUIREMENTS, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT A CITIZEN OF FRANCE WHO IS AT LEAST EIGHTEEN YEARS OF AGE, WHO IS EMPLOYED IN SOUTH CAROLINA, AND WHO HAS A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE ISSUED BY THAT NATION MAY DRIVE IN THIS STATE FOR FOUR YEARS.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Citizen of France may drive in this State

SECTION 1. Section 56-1-30 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 362 of 1988, is further amended by adding at the end:

"(6) A citizen of France who is at least eighteen years of age, who is employed in South Carolina, and who has a valid driver's license issued by that nation may drive in this State for four years."

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
