AN ACT TO AMEND ACT 753 OF 1988, RELATING TO MATERIAL FEES WHICH THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF ABBEVILLE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 60 IS AUTHORIZED TO IMPOSE, SO AS TO PROVIDE FOR THE MANNER IN WHICH THESE MATERIAL FEES MAY BE INCREASED BY THE BOARD AND THE STUDENTS TO WHICH THESE FEES APPLY.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Material fees increased

SECTION 1. Section 1 of Act 753 of 1988 is amended to read:

"Section 1. The board of trustees of Abbeville County School District No. 60, pursuant to the provisions of Section 59-19-90(8), Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, may increase material fees for students in an appropriate amount as determined by the board beginning with the 1989-90 school year."

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
