AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 23-24-10, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO OFF DUTY PRIVATE JOBS OF LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS, SO AS TO DEFINE LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Definition
SECTION 1. Section 23-24-10 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:
"Section 23-24-10. Uniformed law enforcement officers, as defined in Section 23-23-10(d)(1), may wear their uniforms and use their weapons and like equipment while performing private jobs in their off duty hours with the permission of the law enforcement agency and governing body by which they are employed."
Time effective
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
