AN ACT TO REPEAL SECTION 56-19-100, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE DESTRUCTION OF OBSOLETE RECORDS BY THE DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION; AND TO REPEAL SECTION 56-19-490 RELATING TO THE REQUIREMENT THAT THE DEPARTMENT FILE AND MAINTAIN SURRENDERED CERTIFICATES OF TITLE.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Repeal

SECTION 1. Section 56-19-100 of the 1976 Code is repealed.

Repeal

SECTION 2. Section 56-19-490 of the 1976 Code is repealed.

Time effective

SECTION 3. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
