AN ACT TO AMEND ACT 549 OF 1973, RELATING TO THE BROADWAY WATER AND SEWERAGE DISTRICT IN ANDERSON COUNTY, SO AS TO ENLARGE THE SERVICE AREA OF THE DISTRICT.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Section 2 of Act 549 of 1973 is amended by adding at the end:

"The service area of the district also includes all that tract or area of land situate, lying, and being in Broadway Township, Anderson County, South Carolina, being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point which is the northwesternmost point of this tract and which is the intersecting point of Cox Lake Road and Broadway Creek (also known as East Rock Creek); thence in a northeasterly direction along Broadway Creek (creek the line) to Dorchester Road; thence in a southeasterly direction along the northeast side of Dorchester Road to Broadway School Road; thence in a westerly direction along Broadway School Road to Sylvia Road (road C-14-14); thence turning and running along Sylvia Road, first south then west until Sylvia Road intersects with Griffin Road (highway 208); thence turning and running in a southeasterly direction along the northeast side of Griffin Road until said road intersects with Cupboard Creek; thence turning and running in a southwesterly direction along Cupboard Creek until said creek intersects with Herman Brooks Road; thence turning and running in a northerly direction along Herman Brooks Road to the intersection of Herman Brooks Road and Broadway School Road; thence continuing across this intersection in a northerly direction along Cox Lake Road (highway 148) to the point of beginning. This tract adjoins Herman Brooks Road, Cox Lake Road, and the Broadway Water and Sewerage District on the west, Broadway Creek (also known as East Rock Creek) on the north, Dorchester Road for a distance on the east, Broadway School Road for a distance on the south, Griffin Road for a distance on the east, and Cupboard Creek on the south."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
