A JOINT RESOLUTION TO PROVIDE THAT THE MARCH 12, 1990, SCHOOL DAY MISSED BY STUDENTS OF SEVEN OAKS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN LEXINGTON COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT 5 WHEN THE SCHOOL WAS DAMAGED BY FIRE IS EXEMPT FROM THE MAKE-UP REQUIREMENTS OF THE DEFINED MINIMUM PLAN.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Missed school day excused

SECTION 1. The March 12, 1990, school day missed by students of Seven Oaks Elementary School in Lexington County School District 5, due to the school's damage by fire, is exempt from the requirement of the Defined Minimum Plan that full school days missed due to extreme weather or other circumstances be made up.

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
