AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT ONE MILL OF THE COUNTYWIDE LEVY FOR SCHOOL OPERATING PURPOSES IN GREENWOOD COUNTY MUST BE DISTRIBUTED TO THE DISTRICT WITH THE LOWEST ASSESSED VALUE BEGINNING WITH THE 1991-92 SCHOOL YEAR.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Greenwood County school taxes

SECTION 1. Of the total countywide ad valorem tax levy for school operating purposes in Greenwood County, the revenue from one mill must be distributed to the school district in Greenwood County with the lowest assessed value.

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor and applies beginning with the 1991-92 school year.
