AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 7-7-380, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE VOTING PRECINCTS IN LEXINGTON COUNTY, SO AS TO CHANGE THE NAME OF THE "JAMIL ROAD" PRECINCT TO THE "GRENADIER" PRECINCT.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Voting precinct changed
SECTION 1. Section 7-7-380 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:
"Section 7-7-380. In Lexington County there are the following voting precincts: Batesburg, Boiling Springs, Cayce #1, Cayce #2, Cayce #3, Cayce 2 A, Chalk Hill, Challedon, Chapin, Coldstream, Congaree, Crapps Store, Cromer, Edenwood, Edmond, Emmanuel Church, Fairview, Gardendale, Gaston, Gilbert, Hollow Creek, Hooks Store, Irmo, Grenadier, Lake Murray, Lakeside, Leaphart Road, Leesville, Lexington #1, Lexington #2, Mac-Edisto, Mims, Mount Horeb, Murraywood, Old Barnwell Road, Pelion, Pine Ridge, Pineview, Pond Branch, Quail Hollow, Quail Valley, Red Bank, Red Bank South, Ridge Road, Round Hill, Saluda River, Sandy Run, Seven Oaks, Sharpes Hill, Springdale, St. Michael, Summit, Swansea, West Columbia #1, West Columbia #2, West Columbia #3, West Columbia #4, Westover, Whitehall, Woodland Hills.
The polling places of the various voting precincts in Lexington County must be designated by the Lexington County Election Commission. The precinct lines defining the above precincts are as shown on the official map on file with the Division of Research and Statistical Services of the South Carolina Budget and Control Board and as shown on certified copies provided to the State Election Commission and the Board of Voter Registration of the county by the Division of Research and Statistical Services. The official map may not be changed except by act of the General Assembly."
Time effective
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
