Deliberations were opened with prayer by the Chaplain of the House of Representatives, the Rev. Dr. Alton C. Clark as follows:

O God our Father, without Whom we drift into darkness and despair, let the light of Your truths shine upon us. Deliver us from unworthy ambitions which close our eyes to the rights of others and from a self-centeredness which grows into suspicion and ill will. Keep us mindful of the welfare of others. Amid all the differences that might exist, enable us to see the needs of others that, because of, us, these needs might be satisfied. Guide us in the decisions we make, give us support in our efforts to be true to Your teachings, and grant us courage to do what is right.

In the Name of Jesus we make our prayer. Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.

The following Bill was read the third time, passed and, having received three readings in both Houses, it was ordered that the title be changed to that of an Act, and that it be enrolled for ratification.
