TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF THE INSURANCE DEPARTMENT, RELATING TO DATES FOR PAYMENT OF ANNUAL LICENSE FEES FOR INSURANCE AGENTS, BROKERS, ADJUSTERS, AGENCIES, AND MOTOR VEHICLE PHYSICAL DAMAGE APPRAISERS, DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 1312, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF THE 1976 CODE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina.:
SECTION 1. The regulations of the Insurance Department, relating to dates for payment of annual license fees for insurance agents, brokers, adjusters, agencies, and motor vehicle physical damage appraisers, designated as Regulation Document Number 1312, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the 1976 Code, are approved.
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
The proposed amendments to Regulation 69-33 establish new dates for the payment of annual license fees for insurance agents and motor vehicle physical damage appraisers. The renewal date for insurance agents would be changed from October 1 to September 1, while the renewal date for motor vehicle physical damage appraisers would be changed from September 1 to October 1.
