TO CHANGE SOUTH CAROLINA STATE COLLEGE TO SOUTH CAROLINA STATE UNIVERSITY, EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 1991.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. South Carolina State College is changed to South Carolina State University, effective July 1, 1991, and wherever in the 1976 Code or in any other provision of law the name South Carolina State College appears, it must be construed to mean South Carolina State University.
SECTION 2. In addition to other provisions of law applicable to South Carolina State University, it and its board must specifically comply with the provisions of Sections 59-103-35 and 59-103-60.
SECTION 3. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
