A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE THE COACHES AND TEAM MEMBERS OF JAMES F. BYRNES HIGH SCHOOL LADY REBELS SOFTBALL TEAM ON WINNING THE STATE AAA SOFTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP.

Whereas, the James F. Byrnes High School Lady Rebels started the softball season off poorly; and

Whereas, despite the poor start, the Lady Rebels put their minds to winning; and

Whereas, the Lady Rebels has a win-lose record of eighteen to six and finished second in the Peach Blossom Conference to earn an automatic playoff bid; and

Whereas, the Lady Rebels then dropped their first playoff game before battling out of the loser's bracket; and

Whereas, the team displayed exemplary sportsmanship in the championship game to win the State AAA Softball title. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly congratulate the coaches and team members of the James F. Byrnes High School Lady Rebels softball team for winning the State AAA Softball Championship.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to James F. Byrnes High School.
