A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

EXPRESSING THE SORROW OF THE MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY AT THE DEATH OF JIMMY BURROWS OF SUMTER COUNTY AND EXTENDING SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS.

Whereas, Jimmy Burrows of Sumter County died on March 4, 1992, at the age of seventy; and

Whereas, Mr. Burrows was an outstanding farmer from the Oswego community; and

Whereas, he often offered free peanuts at his farm and took great pleasure in doing so for the public; and

Whereas, he was known and loved for his enthusiasm for life and farming, his generosity, and his superb sense of humor; and

Whereas, he meant much to agriculture in this State and was a man of tremendous drive and talent who will long be remembered and missed; and

Whereas, we want the members of his family and his many friends to know that they are in our thoughts and have our sympathy. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, express sorrow at the death of Jimmy Burrows of Sumter County and extend sympathy to his family and many friends.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Burrows' family.
