TO REQUEST THE HOUSE ETHICS COMMITTEE TO INVESTIGATE THE REPORT THAT VOTES WERE CAST BY HOUSE MEMBERS ABSENT FROM THE CHAMBER AND TO REPORT ITS FINDINGS TO THE SPEAKER AND THE MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE.
Whereas, there has been a report that votes were cast on Tuesday, May 5, 1992, by three members of the House who were not present in the chamber when the vote was taken; and
Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives believe it is appropriate to investigate this matter. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the House Ethics Committee is requested to investigate the report that votes were cast on Tuesday, May 5, 1992, by certain House members who were absent from the chamber when the vote was taken and to report its findings to the Speaker and the members of the House.
