RECOGNIZING JAMES CLAUDE MOORE FOR HIS MANY YEARS OF FAITHFUL SERVICE AND THANKING HIM FOR THE DEDICATION TO THE PROTECTION OF HIS COMMUNITY.
Whereas, James Claude Moore proudly serves as a volunteer firefighter with the Pendleton Fire Department where he has served since 1929; and
Whereas, Mr. Moore has faithfully served as a fireman for sixty-two years in order to protect his community; and
Whereas, Mr. James Claude Moore, at eighty-seven and one-half years of age, is the oldest living firefighter in the nation; and
Whereas, such selfless sacrifice and dedication to one's community is a credit to Mr. Moore and his community. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly proudly recognize Mr. James Claude Moore for his many years of faithful service and thank him for his dedication to the protection of his community.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Moore.
