AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 13-17-80, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA RESEARCH AUTHORITY, SO AS TO REVISE THE QUORUM REQUIREMENT FOR THE BOARD.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Quorum requirement revised

SECTION 1. Section 13-17-80 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:

"Section 13-17-80. The board of trustees shall exercise the powers of the authority. A majority of the elected members of the board shall constitute a quorum for the purpose of conducting business. All actions may be taken by a vote of a majority of trustees present unless the bylaws require a larger number. The board shall determine the number of personnel and their compensation and duties."

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
