A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO RECOGNIZE THE BEAUFORT HIGH SCHOOL SEACOAST WAVE BAND UPON TYING FOR GRAND CHAMPIONS OF THE PEACH BOWL MARCHING BAND COMPETITION.

Whereas, the Beaufort High School Seacoast Wave Band tied as Grand Champion of the Peach Bowl Marching Band Competition; and

Whereas, Mr. Ervin Manigo is the Director of this award winning band and guided this group of young musicians to winning form; and

Whereas, upon tying for the Grand Championship award at the Peach Bowl Marching Band Competition, the Seacoast Wave Band performed during the pre-game and half-time shows at the Peach Bowl; and

Whereas, the school spirit and commitment of the community is to be commended upon their support in raising more than $25,000 for the five-day trip for the band to Atlanta, Georgia, for the competition; and

Whereas, the Beaufort High School Seacoast Wave Band competed with fifteen other bands from nine states to be selected as a Grand Champion of the Peach Bowl Marching Band Competition; and

Whereas, the band members and Director Manigo are hard-working and diligent in their marching pursuits and represent Beaufort High School well throughout the State and the Southeast. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the Beaufort High School Seacoast Wave Band be congratulated upon receiving designation as a Grand Champion of the Peach Bowl Marching Band Competition and bringing this outstanding competition award to the school, community, and the State.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Ervin Manigo, Director of the Beaufort High School Seacoast Wave Band.
