A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 38-13-15 SO AS TO AUTHORIZE THE CHIEF INSURANCE COMMISSIONER TO CONDUCT AN AUDIT, AT ANY TIME, OF ANY INSURER IN THIS STATE.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 38-13-15. The Chief Insurance Commissioner may conduct, or have conducted, an audit, at any time, of any insurer doing business in this State when he considers it necessary."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
