CONGRATULATING MR. AND MRS. JAMES W. BILTON, SR. OF DORCHESTER COUNTY ON THE OCCASION OF THEIR FIFTIETH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY, AND EXTENDING THEM BEST WISHES FOR MANY MORE YEARS OF HAPPINESS TOGETHER.
Whereas, on June 27, 1943, James Woodrow (Jim) Bilton, Sr., while in the military service, married Helen Lurene Stephens of Dorchester County -- a marriage which will reach the half-century mark on June 27, 1993; and
Whereas, Jim and Helen Bilton are devoted to each other and have joyfully stood together as a model married couple for fifty years; and
Whereas, they are proud parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents who are loved by their family and deeply respected and admired by the members of their community; and
Whereas, we want the Biltons to know that our thoughts are with them on this splendid occasion and that we share in their joy. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulate Mr. and Mrs. James W. Bilton, Sr., of Dorchester County on the occasion of their fiftieth wedding anniversary and extend them best wishes for many more years of happiness together.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. and Mrs. James W. Bilton, Sr.
