CONGRATULATING MRS. WILLIE MAE LEE OF BELTON ON BEING NAMED THE "COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR" BY THE FOOTHILLS UNITED WAY AND THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF ANDERSON.
Whereas, Mrs. Willie Mae Lee of Belton has been named the "Community Volunteer of the Year" by the Foothills United Way and the Junior League of Anderson; and
Whereas, Mrs. Lee was one of three outstanding volunteers honored in April, 1994, at T. L. Hanna High School in Anderson, culminating the celebration of National Volunteer Week; and
Whereas, the "Community Volunteer of the Year" award is presented to one whose dedication, leadership, and enthusiasm exemplify the spirit of volunteerism; and
Whereas, Mrs. Lee was nominated by the Anderson Area Medical Center for her thirty-three years of volunteering at the center; she has contributed more than 7,300 hours raising money for the Volunteer Program, which provides support and comfort to the patients of the medical center and their families; and
Whereas, Mrs. Lee is clearly deserving of the high honor bestowed upon her, and we are delighted to have this opportunity to recognize her. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulates Mrs. Willie Mae Lee of Belton on being named the "Community Volunteer of the Year" by the Foothills United Way and the Junior League of Anderson.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mrs. Lee.
