A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

EXPRESSING THE CONGRATULATIONS AND BEST WISHES OF THE MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO MR. STACY SEEGARS, ONE OF THE MOST OUTSTANDING OFFENSIVE LINEMEN IN CLEMSON FOOTBALL HISTORY.

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly are pleased to note that Mr. Stacy Seegars of Kershaw will be graduating from Clemson University this month and during his career at Clemson, he was one of the most outstanding offensive linemen in Clemson football history; and

Whereas, evidencing his abilities was his selection as a first team All-American in 1993, according to Associated Press, Walter Camp, Scripps-Howard, and Football News; and

Whereas, he participated with distinction in the East-West Shrine game in January of this year; and

Whereas, in addition to his outstanding qualities as an athlete, he also has performed well academically; and

Whereas, his game statistics were truly outstanding and are a tribute to his hard work and discipline; and

Whereas, his Clemson career was but a continuation of his outstanding high school record at Andrew Jackson High School, where he was the Gatorade State Player-of-the-Year, a SuperPrep All-American, and All-MidAtlantic selection, and as an all-conference and all-state performer in track, in the shot put, and discus; and

Whereas, it is appropriate for the members of the General Assembly to pause in their deliberations that they might note the accomplishments, achievements, and outstanding abilities of this son of South Carolina, who, through hard work and dedication, has achieved so much for himself and his alma mater. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly express congratulations and best wishes to Mr. Stacy Seegars, one of the most outstanding offensive linemen in Clemson football history.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Stacy Seegars.
