A SENATE RESOLUTION

EXPRESSING THE APPRECIATION OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SENATE FOR THE DISTINGUISHED SERVICE OF MR. STACEY GRIFFIN OF DILLON AS A MEMBER OF THE STATE DEVELOPMENT BOARD.

Whereas, the members of the Senate note that Mr. Stacey Griffin of Dillon in Dillon County served as a member of the South Carolina State Development Board beginning in 1988 through May, 1993; and

Whereas, his tenure on the board has shown him to be a loyal and dedicated advocate for economic development for Dillon County, the Pee Dee, and the entire State of South Carolina; and

Whereas, his tireless efforts were instrumental in the decision of Perdue, Incorporated, to locate in Dillon County; and

Whereas, his hard work and outstanding service in the cause of economic development have benefited thousands of his fellow South Carolinians; and

Whereas, in order to recognize the contributions to the cause of economic development of so distinguished a South Carolinian, it is appropriate for the members of the Senate to pause in their deliberations so that they might express their appreciation and best wishes to Mr. Stacey Griffin for his distinguished service. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the Senate hereby express appreciation for the distinguished service of Mr. Stacey Griffin of Dillon as a member of the State Development Board.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Stacey Griffin, 101 Lee Circle, Dillon, South Carolina 29536.
