(Statewide Session)

Indicates Matter Stricken
Indicates New Matter

The Senate assembled at 11:00 A.M., the hour to which it stood adjourned and was called to order by the PRESIDENT.

A quorum being present the proceedings were opened with a devotion by the Chaplain as follows:

Beloved, hear the psalmist in the 115th Psalm (v.16):

"The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord's:

But the earth hath He given to the children of men."
Let us pray.

Our Father, we thank You for work to do and duty which shows the way.

Bless our President and his advisers as they seek a partnership for peace as they counsel with the leaders of many peoples.

Enlarge our concepts as to what it means to belong to a world community in these days.

Human sin is so deeply set in human nature that we realize that salvation must come from divine, spiritual sources. So, we beseech You to pour out Your Spirit upon all peoples of our world. Remove the barriers which separate people from each other.

Take our own lives, here, this day, cleansed and renewed, and use us as our first installment payment toward making ours a better world... in the Messiah's Name.

Amen.
