AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 7-7-440, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE DESIGNATION OF VOTING PRECINCTS IN ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SO AS TO AUTHORIZE THE ORANGEBURG COUNTY ELECTION COMMISSION TO DETERMINE THE POLLING PLACE FOR EACH PRECINCT WITH THE APPROVAL OF A MAJORITY OF THE SENATORS AND A MAJORITY OF THE MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES REPRESENTING ORANGEBURG COUNTY.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Polling places in Orangeburg County

SECTION 1. Section 7-7-440 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding at the end:

"The polling places for the precincts provided in this section must be determined by the Orangeburg County Election Commission with the approval of a majority of the Senators and a majority of the members of the House of Representatives representing Orangeburg County."

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
