A BILL

TO DEVOLVE THE AUTHORITY FOR APPOINTMENTS AND BUDGETARY APPROVALS FOR CERTAIN OFFICES, BOARDS, AND COMMISSIONS FROM THE JOINT LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION REPRESENTING DORCHESTER COUNTY TO THE GOVERNING BODY OF DORCHESTER COUNTY.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. (A) In all cases where appointments to offices, boards, and commissions are made by or upon the recommendation of the House Delegation, Senate Delegation, or Joint Legislative Delegation of Dorchester County, or any other member or combination of members of the General Assembly by reason of their representing all or a portion of Dorchester County must be made by or upon the recommendation of a majority of the members of the governing body of Dorchester County.
