A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING THE BLACKVILLE-HILDA HAWKS FOOTBALL TEAM OF BARNWELL COUNTY ON WINNING THE 1995 STATE CLASS A FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP.

Whereas, the Blackville-Hilda Football Team of Barnwell County defeated Timmonsville to capture the 1995 State Class A Football Championship; and

Whereas, the success of the Hawks football team has brought tremendous pride and recognition to Barnwell County School District 19 and the towns of Blackville and Hilda in the wake of the tragic shooting incident that occurred at Blackville-Hilda High School in October, 1995; and

Whereas, this achievement could not have been possible without the full support of the parents, school administrators, teaching staff, students, and residents of the Blackville-Hilda Community. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly congratulate the Blackville-Hilda Hawks football team of Barnwell County on winning the 1995 State Class A Football Championship.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Head Coach David Berry.
