A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

WISHING GOOD HEALTH AND A SPEEDY RECOVERY TO THE HONORABLE DARWIN WRIGHT, MAYOR OF ANDERSON, FOLLOWING HIS RECENT SURGERY IN ATLANTA.

Whereas, The Honorable Darwin Wright, Mayor of Anderson, has been recuperating from quadruple bypass heart surgery performed in Atlanta on May 20, 1996; and

Whereas, Mayor Wright suffered a heart attack on May 16, 1996, after he noticed chest pains as he did yard work at his home; and

Whereas, he is a beloved and much admired public servant and is the heart and soul of the City of Anderson; and

Whereas, we want Mayor Wright to know that he is in our prayers and that we wish him a very speedy and complete recovery. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, wish good health and a speedy recovery to The Honorable Darwin Wright, Mayor of Anderson, following his recent surgery in Atlanta.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mayor Wright.
