COMMENDING RICHARD SHIRLEY OF ANDERSON FOR A JOB WELL DONE AS VICE PRESIDENT AND CITY EXECUTIVE FOR BB&T, AND WISHING HIM SUCCESS AND HAPPINESS IN HIS FUTURE ENDEAVORS.
Whereas, Richard Shirley is a long-time member of Anderson City Council and a local banker; and
Whereas, he is an active and valuable member of the community; and
Whereas, he has announced that, effective May 31, 1996, he is leaving his post as Vice President and City Executive for BB&T Bank, where he has done a splendid job for several years and made an impact on community life, and that he will be pursuing another career opportunity in the Anderson area; and
Whereas, he is highly deserving of recognition for his accomplishments and contributions while serving as Vice President and City Executive for BB&T. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, commends Richard Shirley of Anderson for a job well done as Vice President and City Executive for BB&T and wishes him success and happiness in his future endeavors.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Shirley.
