AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR PAYMENT FOR THE ATTENDANCE OF MEETINGS BY THE LAURENS, McCORMICK, GREENWOOD, AND ABBEVILLE COUNTIES' TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEES.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
County transportation committee compensation
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, each member of the Laurens County Transportation Committee, in performance of his duties, must be allowed and paid from Laurens County "C" fund revenues seventy-five dollars for each meeting at which he is in attendance retroactive to July 1, 1995.

SECTION 2. The Laurens County Transportation Committee shall receive the payment authorized in Section 1 upon issuance of approved vouchers by its chairman. However, in any single fiscal year, the chairman may not approve vouchers which authorize payment for more than ten meetings for each fiscal year for a member of the committee.
Provisions applicable
SECTION 3. The provisions of this act apply in like manner to McCormick, Greenwood, and Abbeville counties.
Time effective
SECTION 4. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
