AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 49-29-230, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE DESIGNATION OF PORTIONS OF CERTAIN RIVERS IN THE STATE AS SCENIC RIVERS UNDER THE SOUTH CAROLINA SCENIC RIVERS ACT OF 1989, SO AS TO DESIGNATE A PORTION OF THE ASHLEY RIVER AS A SCENIC RIVER.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Portion of Ashley River designated "scenic river"

SECTION 1. Section 49-29-230 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 318 of 1994, is further amended by adding:

"(5) that portion of the Ashley River located between the Highway 17A bridge crossing of the Ashley River and the railroad crossing located 21.5 miles downstream commonly known as the Drayton Hall Railroad Trestle."

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
