A JOINT RESOLUTION

TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION, RELATING TO TRANSFERS AND WITHDRAWALS (AMEND), DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 2027, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF THE 1976 CODE.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The regulations of the Board of Education, relating to transfers and withdrawals (amend), designated as Regulation Document Number 2027, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the 1976 Code, are approved.

SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.

----XXX----

SUMMARY AS SUBMITTED BY PROMULGATING AGENCY.

Requires districts to keep certain forms, specifies both sending and receiving districts consent to transfers, and specifies that units earned at accredited schools are to be transferred at same value. Students from non-accredited schools are to be evaluated and tentatively placed for probationary period. The proposed amendment deletes wording that is identical to a state statute.
