TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF THE STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION, RELATING TO STATE AID (REPEAL), DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 1992, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF THE 1976 CODE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The regulations of the State Board of Education, relating to State Aid (Repeal), designated as Regulation Document Number 1992, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the 1976 Code, are approved.
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
SUMMARY AS SUBMITTED BY PROMULGATING AGENCY.
The repeal of Regulation 43-171, State Aid, will allow the State Board of Education to eliminate unnecessary regulations where possible. This regulation outlines general and specific qualifications criteria for classification including minimum class periods per week, revenue account numbers, and the 85% audit standard. Portions of this regulation will be merged in to amended Regulation 43-172, Accounting and Reporting.
