A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 57-1-455 SO AS TO REQUIRE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION RESIDENT MAINTENANCE ENGINEERS TO RESIDE IN THE COUNTY WHERE THEY ARE ASSIGNED.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Article 3, Chapter 1, Title 57 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 57-1-455. County resident maintenance engineers must reside in the county to which they are assigned."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
