CONGRATULATING DEPUTY CHIEF FRANCES RICHBOURG OF CLARENDON COUNTY ON BECOMING THE FIRST FEMALE PRESIDENT OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA STATE FIREMEN'S ASSOCIATION.
Whereas, Ms. Frances Richbourg of Clarendon County became the first woman president of the South Carolina State Firemen's Association in the ninety-one year history of the association on July 28, 1996, at the association's annual conference; and
Whereas, Ms. Richbourg is the Assistant Chief of the Clarendon County Fire Department; she has been an active member of the South Carolina State Firemen's Association for seventeen years and was selected as the association's statistician five years ago; and
Whereas, she is an outstanding individual and is admired for her leadership abilities and dedication by all who know her, and we are delighted to have this opportunity to recognize her. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulates Ms. Frances Richbourg of Clarendon County on becoming the first female president of the South Carolina State Firemen's Association.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Ms. Richbourg.
