A HOUSE RESOLUTION

EXPRESSING THE APPRECIATION OF THE MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES TO THE GIRL SCOUTS FROM ACROSS THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA WHO ABLY SERVED AS PAGES IN THE HOUSE DURING THE WEEK OF MARCH 10-15, 1997.

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives were pleased to have ten outstanding Girl Scouts from across the State who served as pages in the House for the week of March 10-15, 1997; and

Whereas, they very ably and pleasantly performed the tasks of pages, providing vital assistance to the work of the House during that week; and

Whereas, it is the hope of the House that their experiences serving the General Assembly as a whole, and the House in particular, will inspire them to stay involved in the process of government and to examine their important roles in this democracy; and

Whereas, it is appropriate for the members of the House to pause in their deliberations to take a moment to express their appreciation for the distinguished service of Ja'Shaun Brailey, Ashley Brown, Alison DeCamp, Gretchen Hatoway, Kylie Inman, Tiffany Moore, Trisha Myers, Leah Spann, Zakiyyah Stroman; and Leslie Whitley. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives express their appreciation to the Girl Scouts from across the State of South Carolina who ably served as pages in the House during the week of March 10-15, 1997.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to each Girl Scout.
