A HOUSE RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING THE ORGANIZATION, GUN OWNERS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, ON BEING HONORED BY THE NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION'S INSTITUTE FOR LEGISLATIVE ACTION AS "VOLUNTEER ASSOCIATION OF THE YEAR" FOR THE NATION.

Whereas, the members of the House note that the National Rifle Association's Institute for Legislative Action has named the organization, Gun Owners of South Carolina, as the nation's "Volunteer Association of the Year"; and

Whereas, this prestigious award was presented to Mr. Rick Daniel, president of Gun Owners of South Carolina, in Seattle, Washington; and

Whereas, the award is presented each year to only one of the over three hundred NRA-ILA volunteer organizations across the country; and

Whereas, Gun Owners of South Carolina is dedicated to preserving the rights of law-abiding gun owners, as well as promoting marksmanship and gun safety; and

Whereas, this award recognizes the hard work Gun Owners of South Carolina on behalf of its members and on behalf of the citizens of the Palmetto State. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the House of Representatives, by this resolution, congratulates the officers, directors, and members of Gun Owners of South Carolina on being honored by the National Rifle Association's Institute for Legislative Action as "Volunteer Association of the Year" for the nation.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Gun Owners of South Carolina, in care of its president, Mr. Rick Daniel.
