A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE DONALD KEITH DARR, LATELY OF GREENVILLE, AND WISH HIM WELL AS HE ASSUMES THE POSITION OF PRINCIPAL OF SAINT MARY HELP OF CHRISTIANS SCHOOL IN AIKEN.

Whereas, Donald Keith Darr began his professional career as an accountant, having earned an undergraduate degree in accounting from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio; and

Whereas, it soon became clear to him that he had a talent for and calling in the important field of education; and

Whereas, he pursued that calling at the Navy Campus of the Charleston Naval Base, as both instructor and administrator; and

Whereas, Mr. Darr honed his educational skills and enhanced his body of knowledge in the education arena by earning a Master's of Education and an Ed.S. in Administration from Converse College in Spartanburg; and

Whereas, during that time, he also served as principal at Divine Redeemer School in Hanahan and Our Lady of the Rosary School in Greenville; and

Whereas, Mr. Darr has been chosen to fill the position of principal at Saint Mary Help of Christians School in Aiken; and

Whereas, he is joined in Aiken by his wife, Eva Gallagher Darr, and his children, Margaret and Colleen. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina does hereby congratulate Donald Keith Darr, lately of Greenville, and wish him well as he assumes the position of principal of Saint Mary Help of Christians School in Aiken.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Donald Keith Darr.
