A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

EXPRESSING SORROW AT THE DEATH OF JACK REMBERT KELLEY OF LEE COUNTY AND EXTENDING SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

Whereas, Jack Rembert Kelley of Lee County died January 12, 1998, at the age of seventy-three; and

Whereas, Mr. Kelley was born in Lee County; he was a member of First Baptist Church of Bishopville where he was a deacon, and he was a member of the Baptist Men's Group and of the Lee County Fire Department; he served as Secretary of the Lucknow Masonic Lodge for nineteen years and was a Navy veteran of World War II; and

Whereas, he was respected, admired, and loved by all who knew him; he was an outstanding member of his community and his presence will be greatly missed . Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution express sorrow at the death of Jack Rembert Kelley of Lee County and extend sympathy to his family and many friends.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Kelley's family.
