A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO RECOGNIZE AND COMMEND MRS. SYBIL BOLAND FOR TWENTY-THREE YEARS OF PUBLIC SERVICE ON THE ORANGEBURG COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES ADVISORY BOARD.

Whereas, Mrs. Sybil Boland has retired from the Orangeburg County Department of Social Services Advisory Board effective January 21, 1997; and

Whereas, she has selflessly served Orangeburg County and the citizens of the State of South Carolina on the advisory board, without compensation, continuously since June 24, 1973, and as Chairperson since 1990; and

Whereas, Mrs. Boland's attendance on the advisory board has been truly outstanding; and

Whereas, the dedication and devotion to individual, family and community has established her as a true public servant; and

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly would like to publicly recognize and commend Mrs. Sybil Boland for her many hours of public service and her outstanding contribution to the Department of Social Services and our State for twenty-three consecutive years. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, recognize and commend Mrs. Sybil Boland for twenty-three years

of dedicated public service on the Department of Social Services Advisory Board and wish her the best of luck in the future.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mrs. Sybil Boland.
