SALUTING SAND HILL BAPTIST CHURCH OF HAMPTON COUNTY ON THE HAPPY OCCASION OF THE CHURCH'S ONE HUNDRED FIFTIETH ANNIVERSARY.
Whereas, Sand Hill Baptist Church is located in the Cummings community of Hampton County and in the Fall of 1997 launched a sesquicentennial celebration; and
Whereas, January, 1998 marks the official granting of the church's 1848 charter; and
Whereas, for one hundred fifty years Sand Hill has offered inspirational respite and Christian guidance; and
Whereas, the church, pastored by the Reverend Joseph Beasley, is an integral part of the community and has rendered many outstanding services to its members and the residents of the area for generations; and
Whereas, we are tremendously pleased to have the opportunity to recognize Sand Hill on this joyous occasion and to share in the church's celebration. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, salutes Sand Hill Baptist Church of Hampton County on the happy occasion of the church's one hundred fiftieth anniversary.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Sand Hill Baptist Church.
