AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR ELECTION OF THE LEE COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION CHAIRMAN AND VICE CHAIRMAN AT THE BOARD'S REGULAR JANUARY MEETING AND TO MAKE THE APPLICATION OF THIS PROVISION RETROACTIVE.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Election of chairman and vice chairman

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Lee County Board of Education shall elect one of its members as chairman and another of its members as vice chairman at its regular meeting in January.

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor and is applied retroactively so as to ratify elections of chairmen and vice chairmen at January meetings in the past.
