TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, RELATING TO COLLEGE PREPARATORY PROGRAMS (REPEAL), DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 2125, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF THE 1976 CODE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The regulations of the Department of Education, relating to college preparatory programs (repeal), designated as Regulation Document Number 2125, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the 1976 Code, are approved.
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
SUMMARY AS SUBMITTED BY PROMULGATING AGENCY.
The South Carolina Department of Education, Office of Organizational Development, proposes to repeal Regulation 43-232.1, College Preparatory Programs, in its entirety. This regulation sets out required number of units for the college preparatory program. We propose that this regulation be repealed in order to consolidate and condense a number of State Board of Education regulations which address this issue.
