TO REPEAL SECTION 59-26-70, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION'S AUTHORITY TO ALLOW ADJUSTMENTS IN THE AMOUNT OF INSTITUTIONAL TIME REQUIRED IN THE DEFINED MINIMUM PROGRAM AND A PROVISION WHICH PROHIBITS THE REQUIREMENT OF A FOREIGN LANGUAGE AS A PREREQUISITE TO RECEIVING A REGULAR HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Section 59-26-70 of the 1976 Code is repealed.
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
