A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO COMMEND MS. FRANCES PRATT WADE OF RICHLAND COUNTY FOR HER LIFETIME OF FAITHFUL AND DEVOTED SERVICE TO HER CHURCH, FAMILY, AND FELLOWMAN ON THE OCCASION OF MOTHER'S DAY.

Whereas, Ms. Frances Pratt Wade of Richland County is a person who has devoted her life to the service of the Lord and her family; and

Whereas, she was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Anderson and Maude L. Pratt; and

Whereas, she was married to the late Mr. Samuel Wade and together they reared one daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Wade Brown, and she was blessed with one grandchild and four great grandchildren; and

Whereas, Ms. Wade is a member of the New Ebenezer Baptist Church in Columbia where she is a member of the Jubilee Choir, the city-wide Choir Union, the adult Sunday school class, and the Baptist Training Union; and

Whereas, she has served as a Meals-on-Wheels volunteer, is currently Senior Citizens Exercise Leader for Christopher Towers where she resides, enjoys reading the Bible, attending prayer meetings and Bible study, and visiting her sick friends; and

Whereas, on this Mother's Day it is appropriate to acknowledge Ms. Wade's life as a mother, grandmother, and a great grandmother; and

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina General Assembly, by this resolution, wish to publicly recognize and commend Ms. Wade for her lifetime of service as a Christian woman and mother of high moral character and faith. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, hereby commend Ms. Frances Pratt Wade of Richland County for her lifetime of faithful and devoted service to her church, family, and fellowman on the occasion of Mother's Day.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Ms. Frances Pratt Wade.
